I’m interested in studying psychology specially in the area of Depression – The causes and etc… So My question is how do you believe this persective of psychology explain the causes of Depression?

Biological, Psychodynamic and Behavioral.

the etiology of depression can be any of the three mentioned.

In terms of Biological, deficiencies in dopamine, seratonin, nor-adrenaline can impact mood, as can hormonal dysfunction. Seasonal Affective Disorder as an example is a dysthymic condition caused by fluctuations in melatonin during the winter months,

Psychodynamic is generally situational depression, such as grief and loss.

Behavioral is as the result of long term behavior such as sedate lifestyle that leads to Item 1.

Hearing your own voice being calm helps calm you down better than anything I’ve tried (okay, cept a couple of calm pills).
